Welcome
The knee is a remarkable weight bearing joint that allows the body to move over a fixed foot. It consists of three
separate articulations combining to roll, rotate and glide. Normal knee function relies on a complex interaction of
muscles, tendons and ligaments acting on the uninjured joint. Pain, stiffness, swelling and locking are some of the
common symptoms of loss of these normal interactions.
Within this site I hope you will find helpful information about the knee and how lost function can be repaired, restored
or replaced. There is a wealth of information about well established procedures in addition to newer techniques and technologies.
As an existing or future patient under my care, I hope you will find these pages useful.
Please feel free to contact me for further information or to make an appointment.
Best wishes
